Chapter 16

The days past, until one day, the phone rang. It was Frank. We met at a restaurant in New York. “Gerard, over here!” I saw Frank shaking his hands in my direction. I smiled and went to where he was. After a quiet dinner, we started to look though the lyrics I had composed. “I like this one!” He said in excitement, pointing at one specific piece of paper. “Really?” “Yeah. I can already imagine the chords.” He started to make strange sounds that I suppose was the music. He had his eyes closed playing an imaginary guitar. When he opened his eyes, he found me laughing.“Sorry.”“Anyway,” He said a little embarrassed. “We could meet Ray and he can do it.” “I talked to Bob the other day, he’s exited about new songs.” “I think they all are.” “Are you still in therapy?” “Shit. I forget about that” He looked disappointed. “I didn’t…” “No, it’s okay, I really think you should call Matt,” He looked at the ground. “He can do my parts.” “We'll talk of that later first the writing,” I looked at him. “You can’t play, but you can think, right?” He giggled and I felt warm inside. “Hey!!!!!” He almost started to jump in his seat. Typical.“Did you go to the Iron Maiden Concert?” I tried to appear normal. “No, I didn’t get a ticket.” While I was drinking my Coke I felt something hitting my arm. “Ouch, what was that for?” “Stupid Gerard!" “What?” “We had an extra one.” We? “Really?” “Yeah, Fabrice couldn’t make it.” He took a sip of his water. “Fabrice?” “Yeah, Jamie’s boyfriend,” He said without importance. Jamie’s Boyfriend….processing Gerard……Jamie’s boyfriend!!!! “He’s French. Didn’t you know?” Woho! Okay back to normal. “No.” “Next time call me first.” “Okay,” I tried to hide the smile I had inside me.
